Blog Anniversary

Today is the seventh anniversary of this blog. I never thought that seven years ago when I started this blog that I would continue with it for so long. But, I am glad I did, because it evolved into something other than what it started out as.

I mostly just post about my crochet stuff now, and once in a while throw in an update about school, mine and my little guys school.  And occasionally the odd blog entry about something I find interesting.

My blog has had some bumps along the way. At one point I thought about deleted some of the entries then I decided that I was not going to do that. This blog is what it is and I will keep it in it's original form.

The second post I made was about my log house. And one shortly after that is one I posted about my dear Grandma.  I thought of her today because in two days is her birthday. She would have been 105 years old.  I think about her often. She was that special, special Grandma. She had a special nickname for me that only she used, and she addressed my birthday cards with that name.  Today I received a box of papers and pictures from my cousin, that were my Grandma's. I found her birth certificate in there, and I learned one new fact about my family history!!

So, another year has gone by, and my blog continues. I imagine I will be updating again in a similar fashion to this one in another year!

Anniversary

Eighteen years ago today I married my husband!!

It was sort of a whirlwind romance. We met in October, starting dating in January, he proposed in May and we were married in September. Not as quickly as some people meet and marry, but sometimes you just know that you know that you know.

It's been a wonderful eighteen years so far and I look forward to, at the very least, eighteen more years!!

Every year I post this on his Facebook wall. This year he posted it on my wall!!

September 24..............

1994.

Today is our 17th anniversary. I'm so glad that God put me and my husband together.

I love him just as much, if not more, today than the day we were married!!

Anniversary....

Today is my 16th!!!! wedding anniversary.

I can hardly believe I have been married 16 years!

I am so thankful for my husband.

Fifteen years!!!!!!!!!!!

Fifteen years ago on this day at 2 in the afternoon I married my husband.

My daughter was part of the wedding too, and she came with us on the last part of our honeymoon!!

I wanted to be married in the fall and this is the day we chose that worked out for all our schedules and the pastors schedule.

It rained briefly in the morning and by the time of the wedding it was beautiful sunshine out.

We had a lovely reception afterwards and then went to a hotel.

We had a beautiful room--it was decorated in a Grecian Roman style.

The next morning we flew out to Boston and drove to Maine to a bed and breakfast. It was absolutely gorgeous. We drove around a lot and we also enjoyed fresh lobster and crabs. We went to LL Bean and Pemaquid lighthouse. The country side was stunning.

Then we spent three days in Boston with my husbands Brother and sister in law. This is when our daughter joined us and we had a blast. We went to the Boston aquarium, ad Faneuil Hall, and many other places. It was wonderful. My husband was familiar with Boston because he had been there several times before.

The wedding was perfect, just how we wanted it and it wasn't too big. Just about 75 people or so.

I wouldn't change a thing about the wedding or the last 15 years!!!

An Anniversary..........

Today is the third anniversary of my blog.

It all really started with the Seven Things project. That was a yearlong project that I need to undertake yet again.

Now I mostly post about my charity crochet and Christian things, and biblical teachings and passages.

This year I started memorizing Proverbs with Bethany. This has been a blessing to me.

I never post any pictures of my family because I don't feel comfortable posting them on the internet and because my daughter is an adult and I would ask her permission before I posted a picture of her.

I have enjoyed having a place to post my thoughts, and my projects.

September 24, 1994

Fourteen years ago we got married. I am so thankful to God for my husband and the life we share and the children we share.

We had a smallish wedding. My daughter was in it too. I had a Maid of Honor too. My husband had a Best man and a Groomsman. It was the exact wedding we both wanted.

It was a 2 pm wedding with lots of finger foods at the reception because I didn't want a sit down meal.

I cried throughout the whole ceremony and my eyes weren't even red!!

It was a beautiful day, sort of like today is. It was a fall day since I wanted to be married in the fall.

We were at our hotel by 6 pm. My husband rented a themed room and ours was "Grecian".

He planned the honeymoon too. We were going to do a cruise in Alaska but the last ship sailed one week before we got married.

We went to Maine and Boston and had a beautiful time.

My daughter joined us in Boston for the last few days and we all had a great time.

A lot has happened in our 14 years but I am not sure I would change much that has happened--the good or the bad. I know that God has a plan for us and He has had that plan from the beginning of time.

My husband and I met at dance lessons that a friend and I took together. I hadn't really dated much in the 9 years I had my daughter but decided I needed to learn to two step, three step and the waltz--all country style!!!

And it was all God that we even met since my friend and my class was cancelled and we had to wait to take the class where I met my husband.

We took the next set of lessons and started dated and then 9 months later we got married!!

I love my husband and love the life we have and I look forward to all our years together.
