June Blankets

This is the latest batch of NICU blankets.

They are made with lots of different yarns. A lot of them I picked up on sale and a lot of them are just scrap blankets.

I am done with NICU blankets for a while now. On to a big project for my niece.

Summer solstice

Today marks the summer solstice.

That means it's the longest day of the year, and after today, the days start to get shorter!!

The little guy started swim lessons today. He has them for 2 weeks, and he is signed up for two more sessions.

T ball started last week, so he will have practices on Tuesdays, and games on Saturday throughout the summer.

He loves both of these activities.

The little guy is also excited to get his very own library card!!

I hope you all have a wonderful summer

Father's Day

Happy Father's day to my Husband. He worked today but we still had time to celebrate fathers day.

The little guy made him an "alien puppet" craft and we got him some special gifts.

We plan on going out to eat on Tuesday.

Thank you dear husband for every thing you are and do. You are a great daddy!!

Prayers and Promises week 25

Romans 15:13--

"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit."

I need to pray for God to fill me with joy and peace!!

Thankful Thursday

This is the Saturday edition of TT since I didn't post on Thursday. I see I didn't post until Saturday last week too, but that was because I didn't have a computer!

Iris has posted about music this week. Go check out her post!!

I love praise and worship music even though I can't sing. A lot of times I find a new song or even an old favorite and listen to it often. When I haven't heard a song for a while, it's like it is brand new!!

I also like Rock and Roll music and listen to that too.

This week I am thankful for:
* the sun after so much rain
* my garden growing!! Can't wait for fresh tomatoes
* my children
* swim lessons
* t ball, it's so fun to watch the little ones play!
* my husband!

Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon
the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Exodus 20:12, King James Version

My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my
commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace,
shall they add to thee.

June Blankets

These are six more blankets made for the NICU.

I like making these little ones because they go quickly. And it gets rid of a lot of my leftover yarn!!

The pink ones were made with Joann's Boucle, which is not a favorite to work with but I added white and it was easier.

That is a navy blue mixed with white and a light blue mixed with white.

Thankful Thursday

The month of June is being hosted by Iris, please go look at her blog!!

Today has been one of those perfect spring days. Sunny with a few clouds and warm, but not too warm, with a slight breeze.

Each morning I hear the birds singing and I remember that God created all of this beauty. I just need to look out my window to see this beauty.

My little guy graduates from Kindergarten tomorrow!! I am sad, and excited about this. It means I will have a first grader now!! And it means he is growing up.
He is very excited about it all too. We bought a white shirt and tie for him and he is looking forward to wearing that!

Today I am thankful for:
* a healthy family
* the owls hoo hoo hooing. I have yet to locate them!
* my husband--he is beyond good to me
* my sweet little guy
* my daughter, whom I miss right now
* beautiful spring days
* Gods mercy
