Scarves

These are the last 3 red scarves I made. They are Cherry Red, Thyme, and Burgundy.

I am done making scarves now.



These are all ten of the scarves I made in varying shades of red and two green ones.

They are varying sizes too and lengths.

I will be sending them to OFA on Friday!!

I am glad to be done making scarves for now!

Another red scarf

Another red scarf finished.

I am taking a break from scarves for a little bit but I think I have 3 or 4 left to make.

This one is made with Red Heart, Cherry red. It is 6 inches wide by 78 inches long.

It's a long one!!!

Red scarves

These two make six scarves that I have made. I think I will make four more then send them.

The one on the left is made with Red Heart and it is called Ranch Red. It measures seven inches wide by 74 inches long.

The scarf on the right is made with Homespun and it's called Candied Apple. It measures 6 inches wide by 67 inches long.

A green one

A green red scarf!!!

I was reading the OFA site and they also accept green, black,and blue colors among other "manly" colors.

This one is medium thyme, which is actually an olive green type color.

It's Red Heart yarn and it is 75 inches long by 6.5 inches wide.

A little longer than normal but I am sure that's ok.

Another red scarf

I finished this one today.

It's made with Homespun yarn and the color is Candy Apple.

This one is 5 and 1/2 inches wide and 67 inches long.

Another red scarf.....

I finished this one last night.

It is 6.5 inches wide by 69 inches long.

I used Red Heart Burgundy this time. One skein again.

Here is the first red scarf!!!!

It's made with Red Heart yarn and it's Cherry Red.

It is 8 inches by 67 inches and I used one skein of seven ounce yarn!

I'm excited to make more scarves!!

July blanket

I just finished this blanket last night. It is folded in the picture.

It is 32 inches by 36 inches, so almost a square.

It is made with 14 ounces of Bernat baby cotton yarn and 14 ounces of white. I hold the two strands together and it makes a firmer/heavier blanket. I love the cotton for baby blankets because they are so soft and warm for babies.

On a related note, last year I came across a site called Orphan Foundation of America. (it's listed on the sidebar under sites for donations)

The foundation delivers red scarves made by volunteers to orphaned/foster children that are in college.

I found the site too late to donate for last year since they take donations to give out September through October. But this year I plan on making several scarves. Red is one of my favorite colors too.

I will post a picture when I am ready to send the scarves.
