Baseball..........

This afternoon we went to a baseball game. It was a noon start today so it was perfect for the drive.

I love baseball and so does my husband and son.

We got there and it was a quick game. Unfortunately my team lost.

The little guy was a bit restless so we left at the seventh inning stretch.

He was very excited because he got a brand new official batting practice baseball.

We were walking to our seats and an official baseball person asked my husband if the little guy would like a batting practice baseball! OF course he said yes!!!

Baseball!!

My teams season opener is tonight! I am excited for baseball season.
We traded our best pitcher and got some mediocre talent in exchange.
I am not thrilled with some of the players though. I am thankful we have a major league team here though.
I have no illusions we'll win the world series this year either. Because we won't.
This year we will bring the boy to the park again. He had a fun time last year when we went to a game.

Spring Training!!

Spring Training has started which means the baseball season is almost here. I am excited as I am each year for baseball to start. It seems like a long time from the end of football season to the start of baseball.
This year I am not getting my hopes up for my team. We lost a few great players and gained a few mediocre players. Seems our team owner is a cheapskate.
I will be happy if my team finishes fourth this year, but I will watch all the games on tv and maybe go to a few.
Last year we went to a game with the little guy and he was good for about four innings.
Maybe this year he will last longer.
Our team is also getting a new outdoor stadium in 2010!! I am very excited about that. There is practically nothing better than outdoor baseball!! I don't care for the dome and I have fond memories of Met Stadium.
So here's to baseball!!!
