Dishcloths

These are dishcloths I recently made. The two on the left are made with regular cotton yarn. The four on the right are made with cotton thread. They were interesting to make. I made these dishcloths for a woman at church.

More Dishcloths

The ones above are just plain white dishcloths I have made over the summer and am just posting about now.  I think plain white is pretty!

The ones below are colored dishcloths. I never think about which color to crochet, I just grab a ball that looks pretty and crochet!! I have cotton yarn in a lot of different colors and sometimes I crochet the same colors.

Here are some more dishcloths I've been working on. 

They are easy to work on.  I've been bringing yarn and hook to the little guys swim lessons and sometimes I can finish a whole dishcloth~!

Ten more dishcloths. I'm making them throughout the year to give as gifts at Christmas.

I'm taking a break for now because my hands and wrists are sore from the repetiveness of dishcloths and cotton. Working with cotton always makes my hands and wrists sore.

I love the weird patterns some of this cotton yarn makes. The one brownish colored cloth on the left is self stripping. I have a few more balls of the self stripping. It will be fun to see what they all look like!

There was a post going around on Facebook. "pay it forward in 2011". If you post that and "I will make something handmade and send it to the first five people that comment", people would make a comment and in turn, post it on their wall.

I was disappointed with the outcome. My cousin and I concluded that people just don't really make things anymore, or don't have the time. even a simple card would be fun to receive.

I knew immediately when I saw the post that I would be participating. I only got four people to play along, and these are some of the dishcloths I made and am sending out to people.

They are made with 100% cotton yarn and they are fun to make too!!

I made these cotton dishcloths for someone I know.

I forgot to take a picture. My friend took a picture but doesn't know why it is so yellow.

All the yarn was cotton and you may recognize the green and yellow dishcloth. It's made with the lemonylime yarn from this post.

The first and fourth dishcloths are a shell stitch and the others are a half double crochet stitch.

Sometimes it's a nice break from crocheting afghans.
