Finally done!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the LAST needlepoint chair that I have and it is FINISHED!!!! Except for the upper right hand corner, which I finished this afternoon. I have taken it off the frame, removed all the staples and tape and rolled it up. It is ready to go to my mom now!!!

I started this one on July 16 and and finished it today, September 12. Nine weeks and 2 days to do it all.

I will be glad to start working on some crochet projects again!!

Needlepoint

This is a needlepoint seat cover. It's about 19x21--just the needlepoint part.

It is the third one finished of four.

I started this one before my little guy was born and just now am finishing it. The last seat cover will be prepped and started probably Friday.

These are for my mom. I think she will be glad to have them all finished. It is a very labor intensive project but once I get started I really enjoy my needlepoint!!

This is the last large Needlepoint that I have to share.

It's another one I did before I got married and it sat in my closet all rolled up!

Fireplace Needlepoint

Notice the basket of yarn!! Those are knitting needles and not a crochet hook though.

I have another needlepoint with a basket of yarn in it too.

Arizona Needlepoint

This needlepoint I bought in Phoenix in 1997.

My Husband had to go there for a week on business and I went down for a long weekend.

We went into a shop and he helped me choose this.

It brings back fun memories of our visit.

Lighthouse needlepoint

This is a needlepoint that I bought on my honeymoon in Maine. It's the Pemaquid Point lighthouse.

We had a wonderful time in Maine!

Villiage Peddler Needlepoint

This one is called the Village Peddler. It was another favorite to work on.

Flower Needlepoint

This is my favorite Needlepoint.

I really enjoyed working on it and I love how it turned out.

It sat rolled up in tissue paper in my closet til I got married and my husband had it framed for me. It was too expensive for me to frame my needlepoints so I wrapped them and put them in the closet.

Cat Needlepoint

This is the finished needlepoint with Daughters cats looking at it. I didn't realize that her cats matched the needlepoint!!

This needlepoint was made for my daughter since she likes cats and books.

It turned out well in the end. I had fun working on this one too.

Golf Needlepoint

This is a needlepoint I made for my husband. He liked it so I bought it and made it for him.

It hangs in our front hall.

Grandma's Needlepoint

This is the needlepoint I made for my Grandma in 1988.

Grandma was here visiting and she chose the picture and I made it.

When it was done she brought it home and framed it and hung it in her house.

When she moved out to my Aunts, I went out to visit and I brought it home.

I know my Grandma had many years of enjoying the picture. We used to laugh because I made several errors in the needlepoint and I used to point out the mistakes and grandma would always say, "no one can see that!", then we would laugh.

I'm glad I have it now. It makes me smile whenever I look at it.

Hummingbird Needlepoint

This is a Hummingbird Needlepoint.

One of the first Hummingbird projects I ever did.

It was completed it 1996. It was the first handpainted canvas I ever worked with and I really enjoyed this project.

Needlepoint

Other than crocheting, I also needlepoint. I learned at the same time I learned to crochet.

My teachers name was Mrs. Travis and she was a HomeEc teacher. Little, old, blue haired lady. She taught crochet, needlepoint and knitting. Maybe cross stitch too, but I don't remember.

I took a liking to needlepoint and crochet.

This was the sampler I made in 1977. The grade I received for it was an A.

I have lots of needlepoints around my house. I used to do one per year.

They were not framed until I got married and my husband had them framed for me. I used to roll them up in tissue paper and tie them with yarn and there they sat in my closet for years.

I'll post some of those later.
