This is a baby blanket I made for a friend to give to her friend.

It's made with my new favorite yarn, Bernat Baby Coordinates. I like this yarn because it has a silvery, sparkly strand running through it and it makes a pretty blanket.

I didn't measure it but it's a typical baby sized afghan.

Last blanket for April.

This is a baby blanket I made for a friend to give to someone.

It is made with Homespun and the color is sky blue. It is 32 inches wide and 37 inches long.

I made this blanket for a little boy whose favorite color is red. This blanket really is Red, it's just a picture taken in bad light.

It is made with Homespun Candy Apple (the same as the other red/white blankets I made) and it is 34 inches wide and 50 inches long.

This blanket is made for a special woman that was told she would never have babies because of some health issue.

It is the sister in law and best friend of the woman I made this blanket for. The sister in law liked the red/white blanket so much that I made one for her. It will be a surprise so I will be excited to hear how she likes it for her little baby boy!

It is one of my favorite colors. And incredibly, I am making a solid red one for another little boy!!

It's made with Homespun Candy Apple and Heppelwhite. It is 31 inches wide and 39 inches long.

These six blankets are for the babies at the NICU.

The top two blankets are made with Patons Melody Thick and Cozy yarn. The color is pastel clouds. It is so pretty, thick and soft for baby blankets. These blankets are about 17X19 inches.

The two pink blankets are made with Bernat Softee Baby. the colors are Peony Prints and Soft Red. The peony is actually a variegated color but the red sort of blocks it out. I got both these colors on a huge discount. These two blankets are about 16X17 inches.

The two blueish blankets are made with TLC Baby Amore. I am not sure what the color is but I thought it was pretty. These two blankets measure about 21X27 inches.

I finished this blanket today.

It's made with Bernat cotton tots yarn. I love making afghans with cotton yarn. Not everyone likes cotton blankets though.

This blanket is 28 inches wide and 44 inches long.

This is a baby blanket I made for one of my little guys pre school teachers. She is due in June.

It is made with Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn. I used Pastel Green and White mixed together. I think it turned out pretty!! It is so soft looking.

It is 32 inches by 34 inches. I used a shell stitch and the edging is a crab stitch or reverse single crochet.

Two more small snuggle blankets.

These are also made with Lion Brand Chunky in Lavendar.

They measure 22x21 inches and the stitch is double crochet ripple/chevron.

These are two small "snuggle" blankets I made.

They are made with Lion Brand Chunky yarn. They measure about 18 x 20

The stitch is a single crochet and the pattern is a simple ripple, or chevron.

This is my last blanket for April.

It's a smaller blanket, more like a lovey type of blanket.

This one would be a Granny square pattern.

It is made of 100% cotton, 8 ply. It's similar to using 2 strands of cotton--the 4 ply stuff. I had some leftover in a skein and decided to just use it and make a small blanket.

This is my most recent blanket. The color is called Boston Rose and the yarn is Homespun by Lion brand.

It is for a little girl I know. I hope she likes it!

This month I have been working on these preemie afghans. They measure about 20x22, except for the last two on the right, which are smaller. That dark one is not black--it is a deep purple!

I had some leftover skeins of yarn and came across this project on my crochet board and decided it was time to use up those leftover skeins.


I've done this twice before, where I have made preemie and micro preemie afghans.

The first time was about 6 yrs ago when I made a bunch of them to bring to the hospital where I had my preemie baby (my daughter) many many years ago.

The second time is when an acquaintance of mine had her baby born to early to survive. We were due around the same time. It always touched my heart and opened my eyes to Incompetent Cervix issues that women have.

I made many tiny blankets to send to the hospital where her dear daughter was born.

So, this is just something I felt like doing for many reasons and it cleared up my stock of scrap yarn!!

April Blankets--Purple

This is a purple afghan I made for a young teen who lost her Mama in a fire. She is now living with her Grandparents. I hope she likes it. It's also the first completed blanket for April. I am slacking this month!!
