November Blankets

Getting caught up with a few crochet items.

This is a sweater I made. It's made with RedHeart yarn. It's about a child size 8.



This is a blanket I made for a friend, she is having a baby girl.

It's made with Lion Brand Homespun and the color is Cotton Candy.

It measures about 30 inches wide by 41 inches long.

October blankets

This is a sweater I made with the remaining baby green then I used Red Heart Aran.

It's really about a size 6 or 7 but my little guy squeezed into it.

Certain family members thought the proportions of the sweater looked odd. You can always turn up the cuffs if they are too long but you can't make short cuffs longer.

It's the first sweater I have made in a while so it was a little wacky looking, but it still works!!

A sweater for my Daughter

These are pictures of the sweater I made my daughter. She saw the baby/child sweaters I made and asked for one. So I made her one. I started it a while ago and set it aside and it isn't perfect either. But for a first effort on an adult sized garment, I think it turned out well. It's about a woman's medium and it is a beautiful dark purple.

Another sweater!!

I finally got this crochet pattern made. I made THREE other sweaters of this pattern that didn't turn out before I figured out what was wrong. Dh helped me figure out what was wrong and I all I could do was shake my head.
It is a very easy pattern to make and I am happy to have finished this sweater.
It's supposed to be a size 4 but I really think it's closer to a 6. I didn't put any trim on the wrists, neck or bottom edge. But I will on any others I make.
The color is beautiful. It's called Russet. Brown with a hint of red in it.
I will keep this sweater since it is the "first" one I made, but any others I make will be given to the Guideposts Charity that sends sweaters to children that need them.
I will make one for my boy too.
