Baby afghans and caps

These are some baby hats I made this summer for the NICU babies.

The blankets are also for the NICU babies I crochet for.  There are about 30 little blankets.  Most of them I made with leftover yarn.

These are tiny blankets mostly for premature babies.

These are 44 baby hats that I made in December. I also made two adult hats and a baby blanket but I don't have pictures of them.

These hats will be going to this organization. I have made for them before.

Hats are so quick to make too. I used mostly baby yarn that I had already. Some of it was Red Heart and other brands of yarn.

A hat

Made this hat for my boy yesterday. It's too small.

It's made with Red Heart Soft Navy and white.

Not enough increases and too small of a hook.

Trying again today.

First modeling job for the head though!!!

I bought a head!!!

It's such an odd item. My husband thought I was nuts for buying it. But the cashier said they are popular. Some young boys bought some for target practice. Some cheerleaders bought a bunch of them for something they were going to do.

I simply bought one to model my hats instead of laying them on the floor!!

There is a store called Savers here, a second hand Goodwill type store and they had a whole bin of them, so I grabbed one.

I can't wait to use it!!

So I still have a few more to make. I tried a new pattern with the light blue one and I really liked it.

Except for the pink and yellow hat which is done with worsted weight.

These are the baby hats I have been making. Each of them is a different pattern except for the pink and blue one. They are the same pattern, just different sizes.

I have enjoyed working on these and will continue to make more. They only take about an hour to make!

I am just using worsted weight yarn like Red Heart since I don't have any baby yarn right now.

I will be sending them to this organization for babies.
