Recycling..........

My husband did some cleaning this spring and we curbside recycled these items. It didn't take long for people to help themselves to the stuff! That makes me happy.

This stuff is just stuff I had laying around the house that needed a new home. I donated to the local family services, they have a store that has used items. And of course the books.

Seven things...........

I have a Seven things project update.

We periodically put things out to the curb. Most recently it was fish tanks and air conditioners. I love curbside recycling.

Also, I cleaned out my shoes. I desperately needed to do this as the shoes in my closet were piled high on the shoe racks. That's never good. It ruins the shoes and it indicates that a person has too many shoes.

I finally went through them and put them in a large garbage bag. There were about 14 pair of various shoes in very good condition. I will be dropping them off at our local family services. I like this place better than Salvation Army or Goodwill. I feel it serves the local people better.

It's actually fifty-six things!!

I cleaned out my closet today. It desperately needed it. Most of the clothes are things that don't fit me or I won't wear anymore for one reason or another.

* 4 pair of pajamas
* 4 t shirts
* 2 pair running shorts
* 5 flannel shirts
* 10 pair short socks--booties
* 4 tank tops
* 5 shirts
* 7 pair lounge type pants
* 3 sweaters

* 1 top/pants outfit
* 1 pair dress pants
* 3pair capri pants

I am glad to have more space in my closet!! I also packed up some stuff into bins, mostly winter shirts and sweaters.

Seven Things

Two more items for my seven things project. Even though I don't do it weekly, I still find items to recycle and rehome.

I really think it is an ongoing lifetime project.

These two items I rarely used.

The Gizmo can opener ( remember that?) was just ok, I never really used it much at all.

The blender is like new it was so rarely used. Just no need for it really. And it takes so much space when space is at a premium.

So, these two items will go to a friend having a garage sale for the breast cancer walk. She generally does very well with her garage sales!!

I have a seven things project today!!

My daughter came over and she needed some containers and I had some for her!! I haven't used them and they were just sitting dusty on my shelf, so she took them with her.

And I cleaned out the little guys winter stuff and these things don't fit him anymore.

The pants and boots will go to my nephew. The rest will go to a woman I know that is raising money for the breast cancer walk.

Seven things again

I sent all this to my friend yesterday for her garage sale. She's having this garage sale to raise money for her 3 day walk for breast cancer. I hope she meets her goal.
She told me a lot of people had donated a lot of stuff for her garage sale!!

My husband actually dropped this batch off for me.

There was also a breast pump in this batch, I just didn't get a picture of it because my son was playing with the box.

These are some toys and other miscellaneous stuff that I am donating to a friend for her garage sale.

It's mostly baby toys that my son has long outgrown but they toys are still useful and in great shape.

Curbside recycling!

Today I cleaned out my sons closet. We have absolutely huge closets in this house.

Anyway, I organized all the stuff in there and removed some of his "baby" stuff.

These are the items we kicked to the curb.

They are all in great shape. Like new.

*diaper bag. I loved that diaper bag

Update--I just checked and everything is gone now! It was about 3 hrs from the time we put it to the curb til I checked.

I love curbside recycling and I hope whoever took the stuff finds it useful!!

Seven Things

Today I sent seven things home with my Mother in Law for my husbands nephew. My son is done with all of those items and it's time someone else enjoy them. And, it's seven less items hanging around my house!!
I sent:
*brand new size 3T snow pants
*brand new size 3T winter jacket
*Fisher Price Stacker toy
*semi trailer toy
*shape shorter
*soft football
*xylophone

Seven Things again.........

This is a bag of winter gloves and hats. There are about 6 pair of gloves and 3 hats, and a headband.
I don't need them any more since I have plenty of gloves so they will go to family services. That means I have more room in the front hall bench. I also have another bag full of onlies. I'm not sure of what to do with those?
Do you have any suggestions?

This week is from the kitchen again.

That's it for this week.
But I have a confession to make. Although I have been doing this project for a year almost, I have been bringing new stuff into my house. My DH reminded me of this today.
I have been buying YARN!! And a LOT of it. But he also reminded me that I use the yarn too, so that gets rid of it.
Do crafts count in the Seven things project?? LOL

This week is kitchen stuff again.

Seven Things Week 48

This week is clothing and a sheet.
*one fitted sheet (plaid twin, it's on the bottom)
*one pair lounge pants (dark blue)
*4 button up shirts
*one pair blue leather flats.
Thanks to my ever growing feet the flats don't fit anymore.
The button up shirts my MIL bought for me in my early days of nursing my little boy.
The lounge pants don't fit anymore.
Only four more weeks left of this project! I can hardly believe I have been doing this almost a year! My closets and drawers look good. My kitchen cupboards aren't as crowded and my daughter has received a bunch of stuff out of this project!

These are all going to charity.
Any ideas of what to do with my blog after the project is over?? I'm not a super writer either. I am open to ideas! :)

We also had another curbside recycling item, an oldish filing cabinet. YAY.

From my kitchen again.

*napkin holder ( it is clear, the pillbox is on top of it)

Seven Things Week 44

This week is linens and towels
*4 white fitted sheets
*3 kitchen towels

We also had 2 items for curbside recycling! This works so well for us since we are on a busy road. You might recall the childrens toys/swing that we curbsided and got rid of!
So, we put an office chair and a shelving unit out there and they were taken to a new home!
The last room in our house to be re-done was the "office" space that is really a pantry type area. We re-carpeted, painted and got new shelving and cabinets for storage.
