First delivery from CSA

I got my first CSA delivery today.

It's not much but it's early here for any type of veggies. She assured me that there would be more to come in the season and I would be getting bigger deliveries.

I got a bag of mixed lettuces, some radishes, garlic, chives, and rhubarb.

I love Rhubarb, Mom! And garlic. You're lucky. If you want anything else, I can go to the Farmer's Market?

Actually, all of us should go. I think S would like that.

What do you do with the rhubarb? I've heard of it but never had any!

I personally like to eat it straight, much like a piece of celery. But you can make jams, and other things with it. It's pretty tart, so mixing sugar and/or other fruit with it works really well to blanch the kick it has. I think it's like a crabapple bite in flavor!
